Location:

The flat is in the historic part of Alicante, next to the cathedral and behind the town hall, just 5 minutes away from the city beach and harbour. There is a nice walk through a park up to the castle.  The daily market with fresh produce, vegetables, meat and fish and lovely flowers is also close and you have a wide choice of places to have a coffee or a tapa or un vinito … and good restaurants.

You are well connected: the tram takes you in 15 minutes to the 7km long  beach of  San Juan (Playa San Juan)  and further to Campello, Benidorm or Denia. The Bus station to University in San Vicente is about 7 minutes away.

From the flat you get to Alicante’s most famous beach with the tram in just 15 minutes .  It is an open beach with very fine sand. All along the beachfront you will find all kinds of restaurants and beach bars, some of which are actually on the beach itself.

Sun worshippers can explore and discover the beaches and bays, the water, chiringuitos and cocktail bars, renting a boat or taking the boat over to the island of Tabarca.

The important Museums (MARQ of archaeology MUBAG, MACA  for modern art, Volvo Ocean Race,…) are worth a visit as well as some other cultural events….(festivals)

Lovers of history and Mediterranean archaeology can visit the ancient roman city of Alicante, el Lucentum, the Roman baths in Campello, or make an excursion to Guardamar, the Village of Dunes where they recently just have discovered the probably biggest Phoenician town in the Mediterranean known until now. The visit of the mysterious Dama de Elche is a discovery.
